Common questions
Here are the questions production teams ask most often before getting in touch. If yours is not covered, send it through the contact page and we will answer directly.
Who are your services intended for?
Our clients are production managers, technical directors and engineers at television networks, independent producers and live event companies. We work with teams planning a new or refitted studio, reviewing how content moves to transmission, or preparing a technical plan for a live broadcast. We do not supply or install equipment.
Which services can I ask about?
We offer studio design planning, camera control systems advice, lighting arrangements, sound engineering support, production workflow review and live event technical planning. Each is a consultancy service delivered as written plans, drawings, reports or run sheets. If your needs span several areas, we can combine them in one quotation.
How do I start an enquiry?
Use the form on the contact page, or phone or email us. Tell us what you are planning, the type of programme or event, and any dates that matter. We will reply with questions if needed, then send a written quotation for you to review.
What should I prepare before contacting you?
Useful items include a floor plan or venue drawing, a list of existing equipment, the number of cameras and microphones, and a description of how your content currently reaches transmission. None of it needs to be complete. We can work from what you have and tell you what is missing.
How do ordering and payment work?
Nothing is bought on this website. You enquire through the contact page, we send a written quotation, and you confirm it in writing. We then issue an invoice, which you pay by bank transfer. The prices page shows typical costs for each service.
Can I cancel after confirming a quotation?
Yes. Cancellation terms and how they depend on the work already done are set out in our payment and refund policy, and the quotation refers to it. If your plans change, tell us as early as you can so we can agree a sensible way forward.
How are refunds handled?
Where a refund is due under the payment and refund policy, we return it by bank transfer to the account that paid the invoice. We confirm the amount in writing first. If you are unsure whether something qualifies, ask us and we will explain.
Do you work with teams outside Shropshire?
Yes. We are based in Shrewsbury, but much of the work is done remotely from drawings, photographs, equipment lists and calls. Where a site visit would help, we discuss it with you in advance and agree it in the quotation.
